“We really enjoyed being able to cycle to Loch Ness! We got to see a lot of the countryside on the way. Just be prepared. It’s a lot of uphill on the way there. We rode into Dohrn and sat at the beach. There’s an adorable little coffee trailer across the street. I would highly recommend riding bikes. You can take your time and see more of the area. Make sure you use your map as we got turned around a bit on the way back.”

My guide, Martin, from Gallus Pedals is great fun and full of knowledge and background insights into Glasgow past and present. We covered a lot of ground from the very gentrified West-side with Glasgow University and the beautiful River Kelvin precinct , along Clydebank with its shipbuilding history and modern entertainments through to the grittier industrial background of the east-side. “Absolutely fantastic tours with Anna! I love cycling but always get put off by hilly areas and by busy roads/cars so this tour was perfect. We started with Anna showing us how to do a safety check of the bike and then we headed off. We stopped all along the route while Anna talked us through the wildlife, plants and the scenery and then we enjoyed a dram of whisky some tablet while enjoying the views. The best part for the turbo function on the bikes for the hills which made the cycling much more enjoyable :)”
